To everyone who told Ali Fedotowsky to break a leg in the lead-up to her wedding—well, we hope you're proud of yourselves.

Proving that no one, not even those contestants currently ensconced in loving and otherwise happy relationships (Ashley Hebert take note) is immune from the curse of the Bachelor, the fan-favorite former Bachelorette confirmed this week that her fairy-tale ending has been put on indefinite hold.

So what gives?

Her femur, apparently.

Last month, the love-seeking reality star underwent an operation to repair her fractured femur, an injury she sustained while kickboxing, and the recovery time cut right into her wedding prep.

Make that right into, through, and completely over.

"We had a date set, and that date has now passed," the 26-year-old bride-to-be told People, explaining that the injury and her required recovery time had to take precedence over her planned vow swap.

And it obviously wasn't a decision she took lightly.

"The decision to postpone was very difficult," she said. "I definitely shed some tears. But I want to walk down the aisle. I don't want to limp down the aisle."

While Ali didn't reveal the date of her would-be wedding, she did tell the magazine that she and her still-fiancé spent it romantically nonetheless.

"It was one of the best days we've had, just me and him," she said of her betrothed of one year, Roberto Martinez. "In my mind, Roberto is my husband. We live together, we do everything together, we plan for the future together, we fight just like a good old married couple.

"The only thing that's not saying 'I'm married' is another ring on my finger and a piece of paper."

As for when that piece of paper may enter the picture, Ali is so far staying mum on whether she and Roberto have set a new wedding date.
