In her new role as a U.N. special envoy, Angelina Jolie didn't waste any time leaving behind her engagement celebration with her family in the Galápagos Islands and getting down to work for her pet cause.

The soon-to-be Mrs. Brad Pitt popped up in Ecuador over the weekend, where she met with refugees camped along the country's border who had fled from violence in neighboring Colombia.

She was also given a tour of the jungle by a bean farmer who's working on a self-sustainability project aimed at improving nutrition in the region. And last but not least, Jolie had a meet-and-greet with Ecuador's Foreign Minister, Ricardo Patino, in Ecuador's capital, Quito.

A might heart, indeed. This do-gooder continues to think about those less fortunate, despite the hoopla over her pending nuptials and speculation over just how many millions she and Brad could net for their wedding photos—money which would likely go to their favorite charity.
