American Pie's Mena Suvari Files for Divorce

Actress cites "irreconcilable differences" after being legally separated from husband Simone Sestito since November

Even a "fairy-tale wedding" in Italy can't promise a long future.

E! News confirms that American Pie actress Mena Suvari has called it quits from her music producer hubby, Simone Sestito.

And as you probably guessed, the star cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce papers filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Suvari listed November 1, 2011, as the "date of separation" and wants to block Sestito from receiving spousal support, according to the documents.

Mena might have been giving her fans a sign of trouble on the homefront via Twitter, retweeting numerous quotes, including, "When I let go of what's not meant to be, I clear a path for good stuff to find me!"

Recently she tweeted, "I l♥ve you all & am so grateful for all your love and support! ♥☺♥"

The couple wed in Italy in June 2010 after dating for almost three years and have no children together. Suvari was previously married to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann.
