The Game patched things up with 50 Cent. Now he's got a new, potentially more expensive beef on his hands.

The Compton-based rapper has been hit with a massive $280 million lawsuit by a man who claims he suffered a physical and then verbal beat-down from hip-hop's self-proclaimed VIP.

And like his former feud with Fiddy, this imbroglio stems from an incident at hip-hop radio station.

A cameraman named Kwasi Jones alleges he was "battered, assaulted, grabbed by the neck and so severely choked that he lost consciousness" following a joke gone wrong during an interview at the Washington, D.C.-based station WKYS on Jan. 21.

A cameraman claims the Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, and 20 members of the hip-hopster's posse attacked after Jones joked about a cellphone earpiece worn by the Game's manager, Jimmie Henchman.

WKYS personality Zxulu was also apparently caught up in the melee inside the station; no word yet if he, too, is feeling litigious.

In addition to the civil suit, Game faces criminal counts stemming from the January dust-up. He is due in Prince George County Court in Maryland on June 20 to answer the criminal charges.

While the rapper made a public apology to the D.C station on BET, Jones' contends in his suit, which was filed Feb. 14, that the Game later boasted about the beating in a remix of his smash "Hate It or Love It."

Jones claims he suffered emotional distress as a result of the lyrics on the remix.

"I'm still trying to get over the situation and the song doesn't help," Jones told Celebrity Justice.

Other defendants named in the suit include 50 Cent, Aftermath Records, Shady Records and G-Unit Records.

All this comes on the heels of another radio station blowup on Feb. 28 during which a man was shot. Although no arrests were made, it has widely been speculated that the incident was triggered by an onair dispute between 50 Cent and Game. The rappers later made amends.

Meanwhile, the Game's ubiquitous hit with Fiddy, "Hate It or Love It," is clinging to the number two slot on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for the fourth straight week. And the single is not even close to showing signs of weakening on radio; Mary J. Blige is featured on a new remix of the track and will likely be Blige's unofficial first single off her forthcoming album. "Hate It or Love It" is off the Game's chart-topping debut album, The Documentary.

The Game performs live this Saturday at Buffalo, New York's Alumni Arena with Snoop Dogg.
