Week 1

The stars! They're dancing again! Can you believe??

It feels like it's been years since we were here, waiting for the stars to dance. It's actually only been almost a year (since this spring's season was all athletes), and shockingly, the stars are dancing about the same as they always have, with a few fun exceptions. One contestant, paralympic skiier Danelle Umstead, is blind, which is incredible, and much less impressively, never before has there been a Dancing with the Stars contestant with "Grocery Store" in his official name. What whimsy!

Another fun thing this season is the fact that Harry Potter star Evann Lynch is competing, and she's really not bad. The only problem is that we're already deep into awkwardly incorrect Potter references, like how Len Goodman is the "name that cannot be said" after his really rude score of 5 for what we thought was a pretty solid first dance.

As for Mr. Grocery Store, whom we all know from Bachelor in Paradise, the poor guy was pretty correct about the fact that he can't dance, but at least he was sorta cute about it. He ended the night with 14, the lowest score of them all, but claimed he still had fun. Good for him and his sparkly shopping cart!

At the other end of the pack, singer Tinashe and former NFL player DeMarcus Ware each rightfully earned 23/30, which is pretty dang good for night one, Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace also did pretty well with a 22 and a standing ovation for his extremely sexy number.

Much of the night was not all that surprising, but one thing we were happy to note was that typically, there are much worse dances on night one. Most contestants were better than we thought they'd be, which is great for everyone involved.

Check out the full scores, and weigh in on your favorite dancer in the poll below!

Week 2

The stars are back to dance again with a New York City theme, and everybody was actually pretty good despite the fact that it's only the second week. Multiple people are already getting nines! People are also already getting injured, like Nancy McKeon, who danced despite a fractured foot.

One thing we suspected in week one was confirmed this week: Tinashe is the one to beat. Even if newbie pro Brandon Armstrong's choreography lacked a big of "Argentine flavor," it was clear that this girl is good. Is she too good? Does she have too much dance experience? Probably, but she also might be one of those contestants who is so fun to watch that we just don't care.

At the other end of the pack, Grocery Store Joe got better! He's still in last place, but he improved a ridiculous amount since last week and is no longer embarrassing to watch. We're really happy for him, but will he still get all the votes that kept him safe last week? Probably!

Here are this week's scores:

Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: 17/30
Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev: 18/30
Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: 20/30
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy: 21/30
Mary Lou Retton an Sasha Farber: 22/30

Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: 24/30
DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: 24/30
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten: 25/30
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: 26/30
Milo Manheim and Witney Carson: 26/30
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong: 26/30

Week 3

It's Most Memorable Year week, which means we're just in tears all night long. All night! And we've officially come to the conclusion that nearly everyone is a little too good. Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace earned the season's first perfect score with his samba celebrating his part in Mamma Mia, which Len Goodman responded to with just applause, and Bruno Tonlioli said was the best samba he had ever seen on the show.

Meanwhile, Milo Manheim, Evanna Lynch, and Tinashe all scored all nines, and at this point, there are way too many dancers in contention for the finals. (You can see Evanna Lynch's emotional dance to the Harry Potter theme here.)

Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson: 18/30
John Schneider and Emma Slater: 21/30
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy: 22/30
Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess: 23/30
Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber: 24/30
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten: 26/30
DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold: 26/30
Milo Manheim and Witney Carson: 27/30
Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe: 27/30
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong: 27/30
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke: 30/30

Eliminated: Nancy and Val
