Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is changing things up. E! News has confirmed the show's upcoming fourth season will debut on May 30, but there's a twist: Only six episodes of the series will debut on that day. The remainder of the season will debut at a later date.

"We finished filming season three a year ago…we are thrilled to go back tomorrow," Jane Krakowski said on Today. "I also have really good news about our show. Because it's been so long, we're going release the first six episodes on May 30th. We're going to shoot them and get them out as quickly as possible so we don't have to make our fans and audiences wait so long."

Fans got their first look at Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt roughly a year ago—who could forget Tituss Burgess' homage to Lemonade—and Krakowski said it's been roughly a year since they wrapped season three. Because they haven't filmed, there's no teaser.

Season three ended with Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) getting rejected from crossing guard duties and then getting a job offer while Jacqueline (Krakowski) and Titus (Burgess) worked on getting Mikey (Mike Carlsen) back. All episodes of season three of the Tina Fey and Robert Carlock comedy premiered on May 19, 2017.

Guest stars in season three included Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph, Adrienne C. Moore, Laura Dern, Daveed Diggs, Jon Hamm, Josh Charles and Judah Friedlander.

In a release, Netflix did not confirm the premiere date of the back half of Kimmy Schmidt season four, just that it would premiere at a later date.

Hey, good things come to those who wait.
