There's something in the water this summer. Over the course of a few weeks, stars have departed Kevin Can Wait, Silicon Valley and Chicago PD. Some exits were explained, while others remain a mystery.

On CBS's Kevin Can Wait, Erinn Hayes, who played wife to Kevin James' character, will not return for the second season as part of a creative overhaul, according to reports. "True, I've been let go from the show. Very sad, I had a great experience season 1," Hayes confirmed on Twitter. "Thank you for all the support from our wonderful fans."

As Hayes exits, Leah Remini, James' King of Queens costar, arrives. Remini will return as a series regular after a season one guest gig. On Kevin Can Wait, Remini plays James' character's former police partner.

NBC's Chicago PD is losing Sophia Bush. Bush has yet to confirm the news, but Deadline reported she would not return as a series regular for the upcoming fifth season of the police procedural. She could return for an exit arc, but no details have been revealed yet.

HBO's Silicon Valley is saying goodbye to T.J. Miller. Miller will exit the show after the current fourth season. "The producers of Silicon Valley and T.J. Miller have mutually agreed that T.J. will not return for season 5," HBO said in a statement. "In Erlich Bachman, T.J. has brought to life an unforgettable character, and while his presence on the show will be missed, we appreciate his contribution and look forward to future collaborations."

In an interview with EW, Miller said it felt like an "organic ending" for his character and he's going to focus on developing animated features and continuing his Comedy Central series The Gorburger Show.

"I would like to keep offering up Gorburger and letting people see a very different side of talk show guests. And that was a big part of why I said, ‘I've learned everything I can from this show. I would love to continue to be involved with it, if only because fans really do enjoy the show, and they seem to enjoy the character. But ultimately I just have to make more things and different things,'" he said.
