Katy Perry showed up to 2017 Met Gala to show out!
The singer appeared on the red carpet wearing the Maison Margiela ‘Artisanal,' designed by John Galliano. In all red, her ensemble includes a silk chiffon dress with embroidered satin ribbon, worn tulle and a décortiqué embroidered wool coat. She took it a step further with a red veil, chrome headpiece and red Tabi boots.
The entertainer is serving as the co-chair of this year's gala, alongside Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour. Her outfits gives nod to this year's theme, "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between." Rei Kawakubo, the designer, is known for her use of red and unique, artistic style. Although the headpiece, veil and embroidery are not for the faint of heart, when it comes to her role in the event, this pop star scored big.
Katy paired her red, bride-to-be look with a smoky eye and red glitter lip kit from Pat McGraff. The look complements the vibrant, yet demure style, explaining why the artist gazed down while walking up the infamous Met steps.
