Fifth Harmony's final performance of 2016 turned out to be their final performance as a quintet. Shortly after the "Work From Home" singers took the stage at Y100's Jingle Ball in Miami, the girl group's management announced Camila Cabello had decided to quit the band.

In a statement released via Twitter, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregi and Normani Kordei said they had been told of Cabello's exit "via her representative" that night. "We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors," the singers said. "We are excited for our future, and we can't wait for what the New Year brings. Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our heart."

Cabello has yet to explain the impetus for her exit.

E! News has reached out to Cabello's rep for further comment.

Earlier that evening, the girl group showed little tension during what would turn out to be their final interview as a five-part band. "This is one of the biggest things in the news right now," one of the radio hosts began. "And It's an elephant in the room, so I'd like to address it right now—"

"I love elephants!" Cabello interjected. "It's my favorite animal."

Ignoring Cabello, the host asked the group, "What do you want for Christmas?"

As the pop stars laughed, Brooke offered a cheeky reply. "I honestly have a desire to have a new addition to the family...a puppy," the singer laughed. "I got y'all there, didn't I? I got y'all!"

Riffing off her bandmate, Cabello joked, "I'm pregnant!"

Later, as the group sang "Santa Baby," Cabello shouted, "I know the Taylor Swift version!"

Fifth Harmony wore Florida Panthers jerseys during their performance. After the show, Jauregi updated her Instagram account, writing, "Thankyou Miamiiii Jingleball..the energy we get from my hometown is just unreal every single time. Thank youuu @iheartradio and @y100miami for having us(: I can't thank anyone enough for everything. HELLO, HOLIDAYS!!!" Meanwhile, Ally Brooke tweeted, MIAMI that was incredible!!!!! Thank you for bringing the HEAT babes!!!"

After Cabello hit the stage with Fifth Harmony for the final time, she joined rapper Machine Gun Kelly for the second time on the Jingle Ball tour to perform their Top 20 hit, "Bad Things."

In addition to Fifth Harmony, other Y100 Jingle Ball performers included Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Lukas Graham, Nicky Jam, Charlie Puth, Hailee Steinfeld and Tove Lo.
