Nick Cannon can't stop gushing about his excitement over being a daddy to baby No. 3, but how does his ex Mariah Carey feel about it?
The America's Got Talent host—who has twins with the singer—caught up with Power 106 hosts J Cruz and Krystal Bee and got to chatting about the baby on the way and how Carey confronted him about it.
"She came at me first about it, so it was actually easier," Cannon revealed. "I don't know how she heard about it, but she called me, and she was funny with it. She was like, 'Mhmmm, I heard about you out here in these streets.'"
As for the former couple's kids, Moroccan and Monroe, Cannon says they were watching the movie Storks (an animated film about delivering babies), and he thought it was the perfect time to bring up the conversation.
"They're super excited," the proud father shared. He also noted that, since the kids going to be heavily involved in the new baby's life, he wants to make sure Carey and the mother of his third child, Brittany Bell, get acquainted soon.
Meanwhile, he clarified that the child wasn't an "oops baby" as many people are saying.
"Never an 'oops baby.' I'm so calculated with my moves...I've always wanted five kids," he said, adding, "Just because my marriage was over didn't mean I couldn't continue my family."
In fact, Bell is a friend of Cannon's, and they grew up together.
"I wanted to make sure it was someone who was solid, spiritual and had the same views," he revealed. "She's been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there's a lot of substance there."
He also made sure to note, "Mariah, Moroccan and Monroe will always be my family, but we always can have other aspects of our family."
