Best of 2016, Banner

And then there was one celebrity left standing.

After four days of polls and thousands of votes, you have narrowed it down to THE Celeb of the Year for 2016. The tournament started with 16 of the hottest and most-talked about stars from the past 12 months, including Beyoncé, Dwayne Johnson, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian and Gigi Hadid - but they were no match for the final two, Adele and James Corden.

In the battle of the Brits, you guys decided 2016 was the year of... The Late Late Show host James Corden!

The newest addition to late night TV had one of the best years of his career to date, thanks to his extremely entertaining talk show that brought us joy to no end. Not to mention the show won an Emmy and Critics' Choice Award along the way. From acting out Tom Cruise's entire acting resume in record time, to engaging in a rap battle with Anne Hathaway, and of course, impressively harmonizing with celebrities like Britney Spears, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, First Lady Michelle Obama and his most famous ride of them all, with fellow Brit Adele during Carpool Karaoke.

On top of helming his show, he also voiced the character of Biggie in Trolls and went back to his Broadway roots by hosting the 70th annual Tony Awards back in June to much acclaim. And his success train doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon - he's been tapped to host the upcoming 2017 Grammy Awards and we can't wait to see who he has riding shotgun this time around.

Congratulations, James! In a year full of highs and lows, you were one of the highest highs of them all.
