A year ago today, Jacob Tremblay stole our hearts and we're still waiting for him to give them back.

At just 9 years old, the Room star earned one of his first major career nods with the 2016 Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Performer, an honor Dakota Fanning, Abigail Breslin, Saoirse Ronan and many more significant child actors have claimed in past years.

When the pint-sized star got up on stage to give his eloquent acceptance speech, actor Bradley James had to hold the microphone stand to Tremblay's mouth because he was a bit too short to reach.

"This is super cool. This is the best day of my life," the child star candidly gushed. "I first want to say thank you to all the critics who voted for me. It must be a super hard role because of all the other great actors in this category." Cue the entire audience swooning.

The adorable compliments didn't stop there. "I also want to thank my parents and I love them very much," he said to his beaming mom and dad in the audience. Cameras even zoomed in on the stars sitting in the audience melting over the kid's charming words.

As the cherry on top of a perfect speech, Tremblay revealed where he planned to store his new statue. "I know where to put this—right on the shelf right beside my Millennium Falcon." Just like that, our hearts dropped out of our chests.

To further make us want to file adoption papers, the youngster hit the dance floor in celebration of the win. He showed off his impressive moves in a sharp suit to the tune of Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" and all of Hollywood was officially in love.
