Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook stepped out for a charity event Wednesday and looked like siblings. The 62-year-old model stunned in a metallic gold and silver dress that she paired with a black blazer while her 18-year-old daughter looked gorgeous in a silk green dress. The mother-daughter duo attended the grand reopening of Lord and Taylor in Garden City, New York.
The event benefitted Life's WORC Family Center for Autism and the North Shore Animal League America.
Sailor has been following in her mother's model footsteps, nabbing campaigns in Seventeen magazine and other notable publications.
When asked why she decided to pursue modeling, Sailor says it's because of her mother's work. "My mom is a model, so it's something I've always wanted to do. I started when I was 14!" she told Seventeen.
Sailor also opened up to E! News about her career path and shared the sage advice her mom gave her before diving into modeling. "Her main beauty secret is to smile a lot because she wants to exude positive energy and happiness in the modeling industry," she shared with us. "She always has [smiled] throughout her whole career—which has been a large one—so I sort of aspire to be that type of person too."
Despite her love of modeling, however, Sailor said she dreamed of going to college. "Parsons! I want to study photography there," she said.
