Michael Bublé is putting his family first.

Just days after the singer and wife Luisana Lopilato announced their three-year-old son Noah was battling cancer, Bublé pulled out of performing at the BBC Music Awards on Dec. 12.

Steve Wright announced Buble's withdrawal from the concert on his BBC Radio 2 show. In a statement, BBC Music Director Bob Shennon said, "We send Michael and his family our very best wishes."

Bublé and Lopilato announced the news about their son Friday on Facebook.

"We are devastated by the recent cancer diagnosis of our eldest son Noah who is currently in treatment in the United States. We've always talked a lot about the importance of the family and the love we have for our children," Bublé and Lopilato wrote. "Luisana and I are going to spend all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, by suspending our professional activities for now."

Bublé and Lopilato went on to ask fans to pray for their son and respect the family's privacy. "We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle," they said in a statement.

In addition to Noah, Bublé and Lopilato have a 9-month-old son, Eli.
