Ryan Reynolds got into trouble with wife Blake Lively Wednesday when he let it slip on Conan that the sex of their second child is a girl. The couple, who was famously private about the sex and name of their first child, was trying to keep it a secret yet again when the Deadpool star inadvertently came clean.
"Two [kids] under two is tough," he told host Conan O'Brien before adding, "Yeah, a lot of estrogen. It's like an American Girl doll took a s--t on my life."
This was the second time Reynolds implied that his second child was a girl. Just last month he tweeted, "The mobile above my daughter's crib is just a whole bunch of NuvaRings. So she remembers how lucky she is."
Lively, however, was none too pleased with her husband after his joke on the late-night show, so he had to make it up to her.
"The ways I know that @vancityreynolds got himself into huge trouble on @teamcoco tonight: Not only did he come home with my true love, @levain_bakery cookies, but he personally toasted them for me and brought me a cup of milk WITH ICE," she captioned a picture of her drool-worthy cookie and glass of milk.
"Literal brownie points. ❤ #IfYoureABirdImABird."
All it takes is a little bit of sugar, spice and everything nice to warm up Lively's heart!
Still a mystery, however, is the name of their little bundle joy. Reynolds and Lively kept their first-born's identity, James Reynolds, a secret for as long as possible before letting the cat out of the bag. Now that we know it's a girl, we can start guessing names!
