One of the highlights of the year has finally arrived—Halloween Jimmy Kimmel's "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" spoof.

The late-night host debuted his annual montage Tuesday of distraught children who have just learned their parents chowed down on all of their hard-earned candy. One by one, parents captured their kids on camera in some of their darkest moments as they reacted to the horrible news—screaming, sobbing and even dropping an F-bomb.

A little girl scolded her parents and threatened physical punishment. "Next time we go trick or treating, you don't do that, ok? Or I'll have to spank your butt and put you in your room."

One daughter hilariously complained that her parents didn't understand how hard she and her sibling worked to collect that candy, while one son got up out of his seat and punched his father in anger.

However, in a sea of unforgiving children, there were a few who wouldn't let the moment get in the way of their love for their parents. "It's ok," one little girl responded when she heard the news. When her mom asked if she still loved her, the toddler responded with, "Of course I do."

Another little girl even offered a solution to the problem. "How about tomorrow I'll bring my bag and we'll get some more candy."

However, there was no fooling one kid who knew exactly what his mother was up to. "It's Jimmy Kimmel," the kid quipped. "You're hiding my candy. I've seen this before. I watched the YouTube."

Even Kimmel finally got in on the fun this year, pulling the prank on his 2-year-old daughter Jane. However, the toddler wasn't exactly in the mood for the morning scheme. As Kimmel explained, she is in the phase of life where she responds "No" to everything and was already in a "snippy" mood after she woke up.

Instead of being concerned with the lost candy, Jane was preoccupied with the dirt in her candy bag.

"Jane, you're missing the point. It's not about the dirt," he told his daughter. "Jane, your father ate all your Halloween candy."

Her reply? "No." Meanwhile, her stomach had already moved on to pancakes. There's always next year, Jimmy!
