Now that Ryan Lochte has been eliminated on Dancing With the Stars, he's going to start focusing on his impending nuptials to fiancée Kayla Rae Reid.
The Olympic swimmer has been busy at DWTS rehearsals for weeks, but with more free time he'll be able to actually sit down with his future bride and making some important decisions. "Since I've been on this show my life has been just dancing and we haven't had time, me and my fiancée, to pick a wedding day or flowers or anything like that," he tells E! News' Sibley Scoles.
"So now I'm excited to get down and get ready for this big wedding."
Earlier in October, Lochte told E! News that he definitely wanted to participate in some of the planning instead of letting Reid be the only one having fun.
"That's one of the things that I wanted to do because this is not just her wedding, even though everyone always says it's the woman's wedding, but it's mine, too, and we're a couple now," he said. "I wanted to be involved as much as possible. I want to help her pick out the flowers, help pick out the cake…like everything. I want to be right there with her."
Lochte is not only excited to tie the knot with Reid, but he's also looking forward to growing his family.
"Before I even got engaged, I wanted a family of my own. I wanted to find the right one first and then have kids with her," he explained. "Now that I've found the right one, that's something we definitely talk about…we want kids and I mean, I'm ready to be a dad."
Dancing with the Stars airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
