All fans of Andy Cohen know that he loves his dog Wacha.

The Watch What Happens Live host rescued Wacha, a beagle mix, three years ago and his life hasn't been the same. "There just really wasn't a question for me," Andy told E! News while promoting Purina One's campaign to recognize Mutt-i-grees, a program created by North Shore Animal League America and Yale researchers, that brings shelter dogs and students together.

"I know there are so many dogs that need homes, and I was just looking around on Petfinder one night and looking at all these cute dogs. You're doing something great."

Although some pet owners choose to buy from breeders or purchase animals from pet stores, rescuing was always Andy's No. 1 choice. "You're saving a dog and the dog is saving you," Andy said. "It's everything you've heard."

Once the Bravo star stumbled upon Wacha, he knew immediately that this was the pup for him. "I just thought, 'Oh my God, this can't be possible that this dog is available and needs to be rescued,'" Andy recalled. "It was truly love at first sight."

As for what drew Andy to his beloved four-legged friend, Andy explained, "His eyes. I wanted a beagle...His size was perfect, just the whole thing. They said he didn't bark very much."
