Time with a newborn isn't all Pinterest-perfect swaddles and sweet lullabies...

Becoming a mom is a beautiful and amazing experience, but let's be honest: Anyone who's spent time with a newborn knows it's not all Pinterest-perfect swaddles and sweet lullabies...

Oftentimes those first few weeks of parenting are filled with lots of crying and very little sleep. Most mommy bloggers will never let on to this, though, which is why we so appreciate when celebrity mamas like Olivia Wilde get real about that postnatal life.

The Vinyl actress and Jason Sudeikis just welcomed baby No. 2 last Tuesday. The first photo Olivia posted to Instagram of baby Daisy Josephine Sudeikis shows her precious tot sleeping soundly in a onesie atop an adorably soft-looking lamb plush. Social media makes it especially easy to only show the highlight reel of our lives, and we would've been none the wiser if Olivia had followed up with a perfectly filtered selfie conveying glorious and carefree first days with her newborn...

But Olivia, bless her, isn't hiding the fact that her sleep schedule is completely out of whack. She posted an illustration to Instagram that asked, "You Awake?," to which she responded, "Yup. Yup I am," and quipped about her "current nocturnal existence."

She's not the only star mama open about her complete lack of Zs: Behati Prinsloo, who welcomed Dusty Rose Levine just last month, gave her Instagram followers a candid update on her #newmom life over the weekend. She posted a selfie of her messy closet and a low-key ensemble, writing, "After 3 weeks of breastfeeding every 3 hours, no sleep and nursing my nipples back to life lol, I left the house to see my girls for dinner."

Coco is another celeb mom to speak out on social media about experiencing one of the downsides of breastfeeding. Shortly after welcoming daughter Chanel last year, Ice-T's wife told fans on Facebook, "My nipples feel like they are gonna fall off they're so raw from breastfeeding #‎NewMommyproblems"

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi experienced something similar."My boobs are killing me," she told her Podcast One listeners. "I feel like my nipples are going to fall off."

We can always count on Chrissy Teigen to be honest on social media, and her post-birth tweets didn't disappoint. Shortly after welcoming daughter Luna in April, the supermodel and cookbook author wrote candidly, "No one told me I'd be coming home in diapers too."

Tyra Banks kept it real about life with a little one after welcoming her son York Banks Asla earlier this year. She posed a question on Twitter, asking, "Take a shower? Or Feed the baby?" Turns out, #MomLife is a lot even for this supermodel mogul. Shortly after her initial tweet, she let fans know she "didn't shower or feed baby."

"Daddy fed him," she explained. "I drank coffee. Now walking baby. No shower. #MomLife"

Turns out whether you're a celebrity or not, #MomLife comes with a lot of the same challenges.
