Original savage Alex Trebek called one contestant a loser on Jeopardy yesterday after she admitted a love for Nerdcore hip-hop. The whole thing happened on-air, during the portion of the show where contestants stop and share a little bit about themselves in between rounds. Alex started off the conversation by telling the audience about her musical preferences, adding that "it doesn't sound like fun." Susan Cole of Bowie, Maryland explained, "I think it's very fun. It's called nerdcore hip-hop." She continued, "It's people who identify as nerdy, rapping about the things they love; video games, science-fiction, having a hard time meeting romantic partners." LOL. Honestly, it sounds pretty fun to us! She went on to say how it's "catchy and fun" to which Alex ruthlessly burned, "Losers, in other words." BRUH. In the words of Cher from Clueless, "That was way harsh, Tai." Much of the Internet seemed to agree.

People tweeted things like, "My greatest fear has always been that I would get on Jeopardy only for Alex Trebek to call me a loser," and "Alex Trebek destroyed this lady about nerdcore hip-hop on Jeopardy. Have mercy Trebek; her family is watching!" Some even took a more serious tone stating, "I find Alex Trebek's comments about nerdcore hip-hop to be offensive and distasteful. He should be suspended." Others simply laughed it off, remarking on the level of savagery in his burn.

There were plenty of fire emojis tweeted as well. The good news is, Trebek explained that he was just teasing her and Cole appeared to laugh it off. Oh, did we mention she won yesterday? There's no better revenge than taking home $20,600 and becoming the returning champ! Today she'll face off with two new contestants; a medical student and a researcher. And maybe Alex will keep his dis jokes to himself this time. You never know, though. He's definitely not afraid to be feisty.
