The rapper shared a not-so-subtle Instagram post on Tuesday night, just a few days after news erupted that he and Rihanna have gone their separate ways once more.
While he doesn't necessarily call her out by name, he does share some words that we could all relate to at least one of our exes.
"Too mix up in drama to free my mind but I'm praying for you even in your darkest times," he wrote beside a black and white photo of himself sitting in a car while holding a bottle of what appears to be alcohol.
He then shared a second Instagram post, which seemed to reveal him working on new music...perhaps inspired by the split?
He captioned the photo with a lightbulb emoji, and we can only assume something has "sparked" inspiration for writing new music.
Meanwhile, Drake and Rihanna only recently decided to go their separate ways following their summer sixteen of love (if you will), which was filled with many intimate moments between them.
Not only did they join each other on-stage during various stops of their tours, but they were also photographed going out together in cities around the world, spending back-to-back nights on dinner dates or at the club. They got matching tattoos, and the bad gal even made a fashion statement out of wearing one of Drake's shirts as a dress.
We thought the pair had cemented their romance for real when Drake made it publicly known that he had loved Rih Rih for "years" when he presented her with the Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV VMAs.
However, a source told E! News earlier this week, "Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way."
The insider clarified that doesn't necessarily mean it's done for good. "Anything can change between them though, for better or worse," the source continued. "They are still in each other's lives."
Drizzy has since been linked to model India Love. They were spotted watching the Toronto Blue Jays baseball game over the weekend. An onlooker told us they were kissing and looking "very coupley."
