Tom Hanks has to make some more room on his trophy shelf.

The Hollywood Film Awards just announced that the Forrest Gump star will be honored at this year's gala with the Hollywood Actor Award for his work in the real-life drama Sully.

The film, which was released last month, tells the story of the investigation into airline Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger's 2009 emergency landing of a commercial flight on the Hudson River that saved the lives of the 115 passengers and crew members on board.

The 20th annual Hollywood Film Awards will be hosted by James Corden at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Nov. 6.

Hanks joins previously announced honorees Eddie Murphy, The Jungle Book, Zootopia, among others.

The award show is usually a star-studded affair. Last year's winners and presenters included Channing Tatum, Amy Schumer, Selena Gomez, Alicia Vikander, Reese Witherspoon, Will Smith, Kurt Russell, Wiz Khalifa, Jake Gyllenhaal, Carey Mulligan, Armie Hammer, Johnny Depp, Benicio del Toro, Robert De Niro, Mark Ruffalo, Charlie Pluth and Michelle Rodriguez.
