If you've learned one thing about Ryan Lochte since he took the spotlight at the Olympics and hit the dance floor for Dancing With the Stars it's this: He loves his mom.

The newly engaged Olympian is dedicating his "Most Memorable Year" dance to his mom. His year of choice is 2008, the year he his first gold medal at the summer games.

"Having my mom, my family right there in the stands, watching all my dreams come true, that is definitely something I am definitely going to remember," he tells pro dance partner Cheryl Burke.

"I want to dedicate this routine to my mom because there's not enough things I can do to show my appreciation to my mom. This is just a little, little, small token to say thank you mom. Thanks for being there," an emotional Lochte says in the preview clip above.

Lochte and Burke will do a contemporary dance to "A Song for You" by Leon Russell.

Last week Lochte and Burke received a 22 out of 30 for their Viennese Waltz to "Jeux d'Eau" by Benoît Jutras. Over the weekend Lochte announced his engagement to Kayla Rae Reid.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays, 8 p.m. on ABC.
