Because when Jennifer Lopez tells you to take your shirt off at a concert, you know you better be ready!

Prince Royce met up with Jorge Bernal at Hollywood gym Made in LA and things got real. As you might have noticed the  "La Carretera" singer's gym sessions and shirtless selfies are happening with much more frequency. But the 27-year-old singer revealed that "Ain't Your Momma" singer was behind his workout motivation, although he had already been going regularly for a year, "it got like really serious after that."

"J.Lo comes to a rehearsal and she tells me, ‘You know, you should take your shirt off,'" Royce said. "J.Lo said take your shirt off and that started the motivation."

And just like that the singer and now actor decided to always set time apart for the gym. His diet is pretty strict as he explains, "I cut carbs, cut salt—just straight water and straight protein. Now, it's become a lifestyle."

"I was never into the gym, and now I really can't live without it. I wake up at 7 in the morning and hit the canyon out here in LA and I do lots of cardio, heavy lifting and I think  that once you start doing it for a long time and you start to see results, that when I really got into," Royce said.

Last night, Royce not only performed but also took home two Latin American Music Awards in both categories that he was nominated for as Favorite Artist-Tropical and Favorite Song-Tropical.

"When you get these nominations, you really feel like  you're being recognized for the work that you put it. Not that it's about awards, but it does feel good to be recognized year after year," the singer said.

We followed Royce along as he took over Telemundo's Snapchat account, the day before the Latin American Music Awards, where we got a look at his busy day of rehearsals, press interviews and even a gym session.

Telemundo and E! News had their first co-hosted Facebook Live and Royce stopped to chat with Sibley Scoles and Christian Acosta. When asked what he would do if he won, he simply said, "I like to celebrate with a little shot of something."
