Less than one month after CBS aired The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey, Burke Ramsey has filed a lawsuit for defamation against Dr. Werner Spitz, one of the leading investigators on the program, for $150 million.

E! News has obtained the court papers which were filed earlier today in the third circuit court for Wayne County in Michigan.

And while Spitz's involvement in the highly publicized docu-series garnered plenty of attention, the lawsuit is aimed at the forensic pathologist's radio interview with CBS Detroit.

The paperwork calls Spitz a "publicity seeker" who "once again interjected himself into a high-profile case to make unsupported, false, and sensational statements and accusations."

During the interview, Spitz alleged that Burke "age nine at the time of his sister's death, bludgeoned her to death. Defendant Spitz made this accusation without ever examining JonBenét's body, without viewing the crime scene, and without consulting with the pathologist who performed the autopsy on JonBenét."

L. Lin Wood, Burke's attorney, tells E! News: "The accusations by Werner Spitz against this young man are outrageous. Such false accusations have no place in an orderly society. This lawsuit is the first step to holding Spitz accountable for his wrongdoing."

Late last month, Wood told E! News that he was planning to sue in the aftermath of the most recent allegations.

"Now, from age 29 until he takes his last breath, he will be haunted by these accusations."

During his sit-down with Dr. Phil, Burke addressed the speculation that he was responsible for his younger sister's death.

"I can tell you I was very emotional with the attorneys. I would just randomly cry out of nowhere. I guess it's a combination of sitting in there with this weird guy that I never talked to before and asking me all of these personal questions, it's a combination of that and just kind of...at some point you have to move on. I'm not saying I moved on then. It might have been kind of the other end. I didn't really get it. You have to stop crying at some point, I guess."

At present time, a representative for Spitz did not return request for comment.
