You guys, Hugh Hefner is fine.

The 90-year-old Playboy mogul took to Twitter this evening to joke about recent reports stating that he's currently deathly ill. "I wish the tabloids had informed me a little earlier in the week that I'm sick," he wrote. "I might have cancelled my weekend plans."

West Los Angeles Police Department tells E! News that they responded to a call directing them to the Playboy Mansion today after TMZ alerted them of a possible death. Officers went to the estate to see if any assistance was needed, but turns out, it wasn't true!
Authorities confirm that Hugh was alive and well, and shared that the ladies' man later called the station to thank the officers for the response, and to let them know there was no issue with him and didn't need their assistance, adding that Hef "sounded fine."

Furthermore, a source explains that earlier reports of his deteriorating health are just exaggerating the matter at hand, which is that (as hard as it is to accept or believe) Hef is 90, and at that age, health is bound to change.

"Hef is 90 years old so he has the health of a 90-year-old. He's an old man. I'm sure he's not in the best of shape but it's just old age. This story [about his deteriorating health] always pops up, but as far as I know he's just very old and there's nothing really new about that," the insider tells us.

The source also adds that "Hef's had nurses for years, too. He's always had doctors coming to see him at the mansion, he never goes out to the doctor. But it's not like new hospice care or anything like that."

In short, Hef is good and dandy and just wants to enjoy his weekend plans.
