Brad Pitt is lawyering up.

E! News has learned that the 52-year-old has enlisted the help of Lance Spiegel for his divorce from Angelina Jolie.

The high-powered attorney has plenty of experience with major celebrity splits, and his roster of clients looks like a veritable who's who in Hollywood.

Spiegel once represented Michael Jackson, Eva Longoria during her divorce from NBA athlete Tony Parker, Bachelor producer Mike Fleiss, Russell Simmons, Heather Locklear and even Charlie Sheen.

The news comes on the heels of previous reports explaining that Pitt was questioned by the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles County about allegations that he was involved in an incident with a child on a private plane traveling from Europe to L.A.

Despite previous reports, law enforcement sources tell NBC News that the investigation is being looked into by only DCFS and not the FBI or LAPD as some outlets have claimed.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday, after two years of marriage and 12 years together.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Jolie also is seeking physical custody of her six children with Pitt—Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. She's asked for joint legal custody, however, as well as visitation for Pitt.

"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids," Pitt told E! News in a statement Sept. 20, hours after news of his divorce made international headlines. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the news of Pitt's attorney.
