Ramona Singer is welcoming her newfound freedom with open arms.
The Real Housewives of New York City star tells E! News exclusively her divorce from Mario Singer was finalized Wednesday, more than two years after she originally split from her estranged husband of 22 years.
"We signed off on a divorce agreement last September. Unfortunately, it took the judge over a year to sign off on it due to paperwork glitches. I found out yesterday from my attorney, who sent it to me along with a keychain that says, ‘The divorce is final,'" Singer explains.
Don't expect the businesswoman to be crying a bottle of pinot grigio, though. In fact, Ramona tells us, "I feel phenomenal. I look better than ever and I'm happier than ever."
She adds, "I'm going out with a girlfriend tonight so I guess, yes, I am celebrating." You go, girl!
And from chatting with the reality TV diva, the exes appear to have reached a much more amicable point in their relationship. Back in July 2015, Ramona slammed Mario on Watch What Happens Live. "We're really not speaking. And you know what? It really doesn't matter what he thinks because he is my ex-husband and I have a new life," she said.
Now Singer reflects, "Most marriages don't last 20-plus years. Look at Brad [Pitt] and Angelina [Jolie.] [Mario] was a great husband but he wants to retire and live in Florida and I feel young in my mind."
"We were on different paths," she adds. "I'm full of life and vitality and I have more energy than a 25-year-old. I'm very excited. I have no idea where this is going but I'm excited."
