Mia Farrow "Devastated" Over 27-Year-Old Son Thaddeus' Suicide

Actress and activist breaks silence after family's heartbreaking loss

Mia Farrow's 27-year-old son Thaddeus Farrow died Wednesday, and understandably, her whole family is heartbroken by the loss.

The actress and longtime activist released a statement Thursday via Twitter, writing, "We're devastated by the loss of Thaddeus, our beloved son and brother. He was wonderful, courageous person who overcame so much hardship in his short life. We miss him. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and words of kindness," she continued. Mia concluded her statement with a link to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, writing, "If you or someone you love needs help, or if you want to support a group doing life saving work, please visit: https://afsp.org/."

According to a police report obtained by E! News, Thaddeus was discovered suffering from a life threatening injury inside his vehicle along Route #67 in Connecticut. He was transported to Danbury Hospital via ambulance, where he died from his injuries at 2:30 p.m. A spokesperson for the Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to E! News Thursday Thaddeus' cause of death was suicide by a gunshot wound to the torso.

Mia adopted Thaddeus for Calcutta, India, back in 1994. He was one of her ten children she adopted through the years.
