In an exclusive interview with E! News, Charlie Puth revealed everything you want to know about whether or not the singer plans to reunite with Selena Gomez on stage. Their duet recently peaked at No. 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 list, earning Puth his second top 10 hit and Gomez her sixth. Puth is getting ready to tour on behalf of his debut studio album, Nine Track Mind.
So, we got right to it and asked the singer if there is a possibility Gomez might pop up on tour with him. Puth responded, "Anybody could pop up on tour."
And...?
He added, "She might show up," but "I know she is taking time off right now, so I want her to focus on taking the time off that she needs." What a caring friend!
Puth also gave us the inside scoop about producing his duet with Gomez. The two singers, and very close friends, co-wrote their catchy song, "We Don't Talk Anymore," together. Puth revealed that at the time he didn't have a recording studio set up, so Gomez recorded the song in his lawyer's closet!
The pair were happily surprised when the duet they recorded in a closet quickly rose on the Top 40 chart. Puth exclaimed, "I think we sent each other a couple of texts like, 'Hey, can you believe this?!'"
Clearly, the two talented singers still keep in touch and we can't wait to see if Selena might want to take a break from her break and join him. The Don't Talk Tour kicks off Sept. 26.
