The twit-wits of Twitter are at it again.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! presented the 10th installment of celebrities reading mean tweets Wednesday, featuring Hugh Grant, Kate Hudson, Greg Kinnear, Melissa McCarthy, Chris Evans, Jane Lynch, Norman Reedus, Margot Robbie, Anthony Mackie, Judd Apatow, Olivia Wilde, Paul Rudd, Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron, Wanda Sykes, Russell Crowe, Bryan Cranston and Kiefer Sutherland. "The Internet, as you know, is both a wonderful and horrible place, a place where people will go to show their love and also their hate," host Jimmy Kimmel said before he introduced the recurring bit. "From time to time, we like to call the haters out by inviting well-known people to read some of the not so nice things that people have written about them."
Grant couldn't believe someone would tweet something so cruel. "Are these real or do you make them up to be especially nasty?" he asked. Other actors, including Hudson, Kinnear and Evans, merely laughed at the absurdity of what had been written about them.
Reedus received an indecent proposal, and @LARGEnIN_CHARGE tweeted, "Olivia Wilde's forehead is the same size as my left ass cheek...And I weigh 250LBS, so I'll let you imagine just how big that must be." Twitter's @andypsteveo wanted to know why Gosling "always looks like he's trying to squeeze a fart out without it making any noise," to which the actor replied, "Because I'm a gentleman!"
Cranston rolled with the punches after @CalvinSoup tweeted, "Bryan Cranston looks like Jim Carrey impersonating Matthew McConaughey," replying, "All right, all right, all righty then!"
Twitter's @dbbm52 wrote, "I keep forgetting Keifer Sutherland isn't dead." The Designated Survivor star didn't take too kindly to that, saying, "Well, whoever wrote this, if it makes you feel better, it's not for lack of trying. Oh, yeah, and [f—k you]," he said, using his middle finger.
