Which A-List Couple Should Assume the Throne Now That Brangelina Is No More?

Celebrity couples are eyeing the top spot.

Did you feel that? It was the shift of power in Hollywood.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce is the split heard 'round the world, and it has seriously upset the former power structure in Tinseltown. For the last decade, Brangelina has ruled over their celebrity subjects, solidly holding court as the It Couple. But now that regime has been toppled and it's time for some fresh blood.

But the question is: Who. Which A-list couple is worthy of ascending to the top spot in Hollywood and taking over all of Brad and Angie's royal duties? They must be famous, but also mysterious. They must be beautiful, but also help people. And they need to be in some seriously good movies.

This is a tough decision indeed, and one that we will not take lightly. As such, we have come up with a list of finalist, and we need you to weigh in. Let's dig in.

We nominate these two purely on the sheer power of their love. They are so into each other, and in this year of celebrity romantic turmoil, we could all use some really inspiring love. They're not afraid to step out on a red carpet together, and more importantly they're not afraid to talk about their marriage. Brangelina was notoriously very private and elusive, and this couple could fill that information void we've been dealing with.

If you can find us a more generous, do-gooder couple than Elltia (Portellen? Who knows.), speak now or forever hold your peace. DeGeneres and de Rossi do as much charity work as they can muster, and Ellen just generally lives a very inspiring life. They don't have the adorable brood that Brangelina does, but they do have several four-legged children. We can get on board with ooh-ing and ahh-ing over some doggies.

A week ago, our reaction would have been...huh? They're married? Totally forgot. But as of this past Sunday (The Emmys, in particular), these two are right at the front of our radar. Their mutual success is off the charts, especially now that Vance has all that The People v. O.J. Simpson fame under his belt. Plus, they've been married since 1997, so we don't imagine them splitting anytime soon. After the emotional turmoil of this Brangelina divorce, society needs a sure thing.

Okay, okay. We're stretching the rules with this one. Will and Kate are technically not part of Hollywood. They don't act, they don't sing, they don't live in America, much less Los Angeles. But it's nearly impossible to argue with their star power.

They cause a downright frenzy wherever they go, and they cover at least three tabloid covers every week. That may well be the most lasting memory of the Brangelina relationship: Their many appearances in the grocery store checkout line shelves. The same can be said for the Royal Couple, so we may as well just go and make their position official.
