The unsung hero of the 2016 Emmys? Jay Z, of course.

The famed rapper and his lyrics have popped up in not one, but four times, throughout television's biggest evening and to be completely honest, we can't get enough of it. It all started with Sterling K. Brown's acceptance speech following his win in the Best Supporting Actor category for his impressive performance in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

"And contrary to popular belief, I got the hottest chick in the game rocking my chain. Ryan Michelle Bathe, you make this whole thing go. I love you. Thank you." his heartfelt speech concluded.

For those unable to recall every Jay Z lyric at the drop of a hat (or mic), the line comes from his 2003 track, "Public Service Announcement." In it, the Grammy winner raps to Beyoncé,"Got the hottest chick in the game wearin' my chain, that's right."

Fellow winners picked up on the trend, with Sherlock writer Steven Moffat quoting his own version of the line while accepting the accolade for Best Television Movie. "One last thing, I need to say, the one person I am going to thank, my wife. For the best reason of all, not only does she rock whatever that was, but she actually produces the show. So I win best wife," he told the audience.

Courtney B. Vance couldn't help but gush over his own leading lady amid winning Best Actor, poking fun at his American Crime Story co-star onstage: ""And last, but not least, to the woman that rocks my chain! Angela Evelyn Bassett, this one's for you girl!"

At this point in the evening, comedian John Oliver took a stab at flexing his Jay Z knowledge while accepting Best Variety Talk Series, wrapping up his speech with, "And I need to thank my wife, the hottest chain—I don't know either. Impeccably white moment on stage." A+ for effort, right?
