When Lady Gaga arrives to an event, you immediately know it is going to be noteworthy.
This mantra can be applied to Tuesday night in New York City when the Grammy winner strutted into New York City's famed Russian Tea Room to sit front row at stylist and designer Brandon Maxwell's fashion show.
Before the lights even dimmed, the musical phenom had nothing but high praise for her beloved best friend, telling E!'s Zanna Roberts Rassi, "He is extreme talent."
Having first met her nearly a decade ago, Maxwell has seen the star through some of her most iconic looks to date, including that meat dress and her standout 2016 Oscars caped jumpsuit. Debuting a new collection marks a milestone in their friendship as they first met when the designer was still moving up in the ranks.
"I was an assistant stylist and I met her and she was so friendly when she walked in," he recalled to Rassi. "She is my best friend."
The feeling is perfectly mutual for Gaga, who echoed the sentiment to Rassi.
"I love it that he styles me. I love it that he designs for me, but I mostly love watching his dream come true to be his own designer for other women and that they get to enjoy wearing his clothes as much as I do," she told E! News.
His spring-summer 2017 collection reflected his strong and powerful female clientele as the '70s hit, "First Be a Woman" filled the room and models strutted down the runway in sleek olive, white and black silhouettes—all of which got Gaga's stamp of approval.
"It's beautiful," she told Rassi. "The lines and the silhouettes, the colors are beautiful."
