Kerry Washington is pregnant with a baby...person!
"We hope for a human," the Scandal star joked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "We're hoping for a human!"
The actress, who is already the proud mom to 2-year-old daughter Isabelle, told Ellen she and hubby Nnamdi Asomugha have not found out yet if baby No. 2 is a boy or a girl, but they have discussed baby names!
"So what are the names?" asked Ellen.
"I can't tell you," said Kerry. When asked if she was considering Ellen, she quipped, "That is at the top of the list." Ellen also suggested the name Portia, presumably in honor of her wife and Kerry's Scandal co-star Portia De Rossi.
Filming for this season of the hit ABC show has been somewhat challenging, Kerry explained with a laugh. Her character on Scandal isn't pregnant, so she's hiding her bump behind "big coats, big bags...[and] different body parts of other actors...Also lamps!"
