Justin Bieber sure knows how to make a girl feel special.

The pop singer and Sofia Richie left Los Angeles on Friday for a private getaway Justin planned in celebration of her recent 18th birthday, a source tells E! News. And from the looks of it, things are off to a great start as Bieber planned a romantic date night complete with candles and red roses (in heart shapes no less!) for the model.

Richie documented the sweet gesture on her Snapchat, which the insider tells us was the Biebs' way of making up for Sofia not feeling well on her actual August 24 birthday.

"Sofia was under the weather on her birthday so she really couldn't fully enjoy if but now she is feeling better so they are just spending time with each other. Justin treats Sofia really well," the source explains.

Despite a slightly dramatic start to their relationship that involved Justin's ex Selena Gomez weighing in and the "Cold Water" crooner deleting his Instagram account, an insider tells us things are proceeding smoothly—and slowly—for the two young stars.
"Besides hooking up it all started as really good friends so they have a great foundation," the source reveals, adding, "They have not discussed titles yet with each other, just taking it slow."
The insider continues, "Sofia would like to be exclusive and hopes it will lead into that shortly. She has always had something for Justin."

If their time traveling together is any indication, the younger sister of Nicole Richie might just get what she's hoping for.

There's no word yet on where exactly the new couple has jetted off to this time around, but updates coming from Sofia's social media points to somewhere tropical and beachfront.

Richie shared a snapshot from the posh locale, which she captioned "Happy." Can you blame her? We certainly can't.
