It's finally happened: Wonder Woman and Supergirl have met. We're talking about Lynda Carter and Melissa Benoist of course. Carter, who famously played the Amazon princess in Wonder Woman for three seasons in the classic 1970s TV show, will recur on Benoist's Supergirl as the president of the United States. No big deal. Beniost shared the above photo on Instagram with tongue-in-cheek caption: "Met a wonderful woman today," she said.

Carter shared her thoughts as well, "Having so much fun filming Supergirl on The CW with Melissa Benoist," she said on Facebook.

Carter isn't the only famous face stopping by Supergirl when it makes its move to The CW. Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin will make his debut as Kara's cousin Clark. Clark Kent that is. Yes, Superman is finally coming to Supergirl. Viewers will also meet Mon-El and Miss Martian. Containment's Chris Wood will play Mon-El and Boston Public's Sharon Leal will take on the role of Miss Martian. What else can you expect from season two? How about a musical crossover with The Flash. Yes, it's really happening.

"Yes, there will be a musical crossover. There's going to be a musical pair of episodes in the back half of the year between Supergirl and Flash," Greg Berlanti, executive producer on both shows, announced at a panel discussing Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. "We have a number of people who can sing across all the shows who will be making some very exciting appearances in the back half of the year."

In case you forgot, Benoist and Flash star Grant Gustin got their start on a little musical dramedy called Glee. There's also Rent veteran Jesse L. Martin and Smash's Jeremy Jordan in the mix, just to name a few musically-inclined DC Comics TV stars.

Supergirl season two premieres Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
