Bethenny Frankel put it all on the table for Luann de Lesseps on The Real Housewives of New York City. The Skinnygirl mogul told the Countess she had images of fiancé Tom D'Agostino Jr., and that sent Luann running from the room, yelling at the cameras to not follow her.
"I was blindsided when Bethenny shared with me what her friend saw at the Regency, and I asked the crew to stop filming me so I could process in private. My reaction was honest, and I was in pain," Luann wrote in her blog. She shared a similar sentiment on Twitter.
"Was I devastated when I heard? Yes completely. Didn't know what to do asked the crew to stop filming so I could be private #honest #inpain," she tweeted.
Viewers (and Luann) took issue with how Bethenny went about the situation. Bethenny first told Carole Radziwill and Ramona Singer she had photos of Tom kissing another woman from earlier that week. Ramona then told Sonja Morgan. And when Bethenny finally told Luann what was up, it was with cameras on them.
"Would you tell your girlfriend if you saw her man with another woman? I think I would, yet it's the way you tell your friend that matters. Instead of telling a close friend like Dorinda, who introduced me to Tom, Bethenny chose to tell Carole and Ramona first," Luann wrote. "If you call yourself concerned and a friend, would you share what you know with women who haven't been the closest of friends in the past? Or would you tell the whole world before you share what you know privately? Obviously the person taking the photograph had an agenda and was all too happy to share that information with my "buddy" Bethenny. Her motivations are questionable to me at this point. Was I hurt when I found out that she had a photo of Tom and a girl at the Regency? Yes I was. I was devastated to the point of not knowing what to do next."
In response to a Twitter user, Bethenny said she "would do it exactly the same again."
"You talk to someone you trust," she tweeted.
And when asked why she told Luann with the cameras on them instead of in private, Bethenny tweeted, "Cuz I'm on a reality show vs. Days of Our Lives or a blank screen."
