If there was an Olympic medal for fashion, there is definitely one baby going for the gold.
With the most decorated Olympian of all time as a father, Boomer Phelps has truly stepped up his style game since arriving in Rio de Janeiro for the summer games. Typically seated on mom Nicole Johnson's lap in the stands for each of Michael Phelps' races, the 3-month-old is always dressed up in a patriotic ensemble, whether it be stars and stripes or red and blue.
However, during Wednesday's 200 meter individual medley, he debuted arguably his best outfit yet—a "team daddy" t-shirt, flag-printed shorts and golden booties to complete the winning look.
"Way to go daddy!!!! #usa #rio2016 #pantsonfleek," a shot of Boomer's outfit read on Instagram—because, yes, the infant already has his own social media account.
The adorable shoes are leather baby moccasins made by Freshly Picked, a company that also reached entrepreneurial gold when its founder was offered a deal from Daymond John on ABC's Shark Tank in January 2014. While the deal later fell through, the company got national attention and now features lists of celebrity baby customers, including Michael Phelps' son. Just one question—how do we get a pair of the gilded shoes in adult sizes?
This is not the first time Boomer has rocked the metallic booties. On Sunday, he broke them out for a future Olympian-inspired look, complete with a shirt that read, "Gold-Medal Athlete."
"@coach_bowman I'm ready to go after my daddy [sic] retires #teamusa #dreams," the photo's caption read.
While he has mighty large shoes to fill—pun totally intended—we can't think of a better coach than your 35-time medalist dad.
