There are many words we could use to describe the five ladies—Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian—who make up the USA gymnastics team: flawless, dominating, dedicated, undefeated and so on and so forth.

However, they've provided their own title: The Final Five.

In an interview with Today, Raisman explained, "We're the 'Final Five' because this is Marta's last Olympics and without her none of this would've been possible."

She added, "We wanted to do it for her just because she's there with us every single day."

Raisman, 22, the team's captain, also explained why this Olympics will close a chapter for the team. "This is the last Olympics where there's a five-girl team," she revealed. "The next Olympics is only going to be a four-person team."

On Tuesday night, the ladies dominated the all-around competition, taking home the gold after winning by more than eight points.

"It's so amazing, especially to share it with these girls," Hernandez, 16, said. "They are like my older sisters. It's kind of like I won a gold medal with my family."

More than just their gymnastics family, the girls' real families were also sitting in the stands. In fact, Raisman's parents have made headlines for their hilarious reactions while watching their daughter.

"They think that they are doing gymnastics," Raisman joked. "They swerve around. I don't even know what they are doing."

But despite any embarrassing moments in the stands, all the girls agree they wouldn't be where they are today without their families.

Biles explained that it's comforting knowing her family is always nearby, including her brother who has been carrying around a cardboard cutout of her face—a good luck charm that seems to be working very well!

Hernandez added, "To be at the biggest competition of my life, I think that's such an amazing thing because I feel like we went through it together."
