The most decorated Olympian of all time certainly looks like his head is in the game.

As Michael Phelps forges ahead in Rio with one gold medal already around his neck, fans are keenly tuned into his every move. However, in between races, it was what he did behind the scenes that blossomed into a viral moment.

Before competing in the 200-meter butterfly semifinal on Monday night, cameras caught a glimpse of Phelps seated in the aquatics center ready room as competitor and South African swimmer Chad le Clos was shadowboxing in front of him. The 31-year-old Maryland native sat in the corner with his hood over his head and headphones over his ears, staring intensely into the void with his hands clasped in his lap. Suffice to say, the athlete was as focused as ever.

As is second nature for the Internet, the moment immediately became the punchline of every digital joke as fans likened his #PhelpsFace to virtually everything from Darth Vader to an angry patron at Starbucks.

Michael Phelps' Baby Boy Steals the Spotlight During Dad's Olympic Gold Win

Arguably the most adorable comparison came between him and his 3-month-old son Boomer PhelpsToday put Michael's expression next to a photo of his son watching the competition from the night earlier. The baby boy stole the show Sunday when he appeared in the stands on his mother Nicole Johnson's lap.

The infant has earned major style nods for his patriotic noise-canceling headphones and matching star-printed baby carrier. "Thanks for sharing your gold medal with me dad!!! I love you and can't wait til I get to see you," Boomer's Instagram account read. Yes, Boomer has his own Instagram account and it has accumulated nearly 140,000 followers.

Phelps' son has been a fixture of the Olympic Games thus far, popping up in the stands virtually every time his famous father competes. "Time to wake up!!!" his account read Monday. "Daddy is racing soon!!!"

It's safe to say we've found Michael's biggest fan.
