Before competing in the 200-meter butterfly semifinal on Monday night, cameras caught a glimpse of Phelps seated in the aquatics center ready room as competitor and South African swimmer Chad le Clos was shadowboxing in front of him. Arguably the most adorable comparison came between him and his 3-month-old son Boomer Phelps. The baby boy stole the show Sunday when he appeared in the stands on his mother Nicole Johnson's lap.

Phelps' son has been a fixture of the Olympic Games thus far, popping up in the stands virtually every time his famous father competes. "Time to wake up!!!" his account read Monday. "Daddy is racing soon!!!"
