It's official: The View is adding a new co-host to the panel!

ABC announced Wednesday that Sara Haines will be joining the show as a regular when its 20th season premieres Sept. 6. Whoopi Goldberg will continue moderate the panel, and Joy Behar Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné are all returning as well.

Haines, who has been a frequent guest co-host on The View in the past, joined ABC News in 2013. She currently appears appears on the weekend editions of Good Morning America as the pop news anchor.

ABC also announced that Jedediah Bila and Sunny Hostin will appear frequently throughout The View's 20th season. Bila joins ABC from Fox News, and Hostin will continue her role as senior legal correspondent for ABC News.

Both Bila and Hostin tweeted about their big news:

To kick off the show's upcoming season, ABC will air a special titled "The View: 20 Years In the Making" with the program's creator Barbara Walters on August 23 at 10 p.m.

"As we prepare for season 20 of The View, we will take a look back at its remarkable history," Walters said in a statement. "In our primetime special, celebrating this event, you will see the legacy of the program. I am very proud of the show that I created almost two decades ago. We hope the viewers will take a little time to enjoy The View."

The View's official casting announcement comes just hours after Goldberg took to Twitter to debunk rumors that she has anything to do with the talk show's hiring or firing policy after a Daily Mail report claimed Faris' appearances were reduced at the Oscar winner's behest.
