Was that not just the most quintessential Pretty Little Liars episode?
Someone got attacked, someone died, someone dug up a grave, someone broke up, and someone got engaged, and some mysterious someone took off a mask and watched a grainy nightvision video in an ominous way. That was just a lot!
First of all, that engagement: Aria at first said she had to think about Ezra's proposal, but only because she was worried he wouldn't want to marry a criminal who may be sent to jail for the death of Elliot Rollins/Archer Dunhill. She told him the whole story, but he's been around Rosewood long enough for a simple case of accessory to accidental manslaughter to not deter him in the slightest.
He proposed again, and Aria said yes. So yay Ezria!
Spaleb, on the other hand, is not so yay. As much as our anti-traditionalist hearts rooted for Spencer and Caleb to make it work, they decided to break up, because of how much they both screwed up. But that doesn't mean they didn't and still don't love each other, so we kinda feel like this love triangle/square/shape isn't over yet.
Elsewhere, RIP Sara Harvey. She was hanging out with Jenna, just doing the general evil-seeming things that characters like Sara and Jenna typically tend to do on this show, when someone knocked on her hotel room door and then killed her in the shower. Sucks for her, but we aren't really sure what she was actually doing at this point, so we're not yet really feeling the loss.
We're also confused, because there's still someone out there who looks an awful lot like Elliot/Archer, and he's going around and attacking Alison with masks on. However, as Hanna and Spencer learned when they dug up the grave, at least one version of Archer is definitely dead.
Was he wearing an Elliot mask under his bald policeman mask? Does Elliot have a twin? Will we ever be less confused about what's going on? Who knows?!
Do you have more of a handle on this than we do? Sound off in the comments!
