The Suicide Squad premiere may have been a raucous event, but for Will Smith, it was also a family affair. The actor, who plays Deadshot in the supervillain spectacle, invited son Trey Smith, 23, son Jaden Smith, 18, and daughter Willow Smith, 15, to join him on the red carpet. "This movie has hit a vein with my boys," the 47-year-old actor told E! News' Marc Malkin. "It's insane. They told me that it's all downhill from here. They said I never need to make another movie; Deadshot's the best character I'm ever going to play and I should just hang it up now." The film is so good, Will said, Trey and Jaden joked that it's time to "just stay home and get fat."

Fat chance of that happening. The movie—which also stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, Scott Eastwood, Jay Hernandez, Joel Kinnaman, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie—is poised to have one of the biggest box openings of the year. Sure, Will has been in some of the biggest blockbusters of all time. But even so, he said, "It's very rare that you get one that is this anticipated, so it's a beautiful thing. This is my first venturing into the DC world, into the comic world, so this is a good one to get me started."

As Will enters a new era, he'll do so with his children's full support. It's no surprise, given that he's always been their biggest fan. When Jaden became a style icon by challenging gender norms through his clothing, for example, Will was one of the first people to commend the teen star. "Listen, that kid is the most certain, confident, comfortable person I've ever met in my life. A lot of people act like they don't care what people think, and I'll be looking at that boy, and he legitimately does not care what people think. He's so certain and confident," Will said. "For me, I see my job as a parent is to support what my children are—to support what they want to become—more than it is to dictate what will make me feel good for them to become. This is their life. I am helping them build their lives not creating images that I'm comfortable with."

"We need more fathers like you!" Marc told Will.

"Well, I'm trying to raise some!" the actor replied.
