It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...your first look at Tyler Hoechlin all suited up as Superman!
The CW has released the first image of the Teen Wolf vet in costume as Kara's slightly more famous cousin on Supergirl. The iconic superhero will make his first appearance on the series when season two debuts at its new home, where it's settled after one season on sibling network CBS.
When E! News caught up with the cast at Comic-Con, Hoechlin admitted he hadn't even tried the suit on yet, though he was anxious for that first fitting. "I believe there will be a suit involved in this one, it would be weird if it wasn't," he told us. "But I haven't tried it on yet. Hopefully when we get to Vancouver we'll give it a shot."
The arrival of Superman marks a major moment for the sophomore series, one that has executive producer Andrew Kreisberg thrilled. When Hoechlin's casting was announced, the EP released a statement that read: "Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman. We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."
Hoechlin's Superman will recur in several episode of season two.
