Orlando Bloom has congratulated his ex Miranda Kerr over her recent engagement to  Evan Spiegel, while the actor also sees himself tying the knot again himself, E! News has learned exclusively.

The 33-year-old supermodel announced Wednesday she had accepted the 26-year-old billionaire Snapchat co-founder's proposal, flashing a giant engagement ring. She and Bloom, 39, share a 5-year-old son, Flynn. Kerr and the actor wed in 2010, almost exactly six years ago, and announced their separation in 2013.

"Orlando is happy for Miranda," a source told E! News exclusively Friday. "He spoke with and congratulated her."

Kerr and Spiegel, who have been living together for a while, revealed their engagement two weeks after E! News learned they had talked seriously about the subject. A second source said recently Kerr and Spiegel plan to have an engagement party in Los Angeles with close friends and family.

Kerr and Bloom have appeared friendly since their split and made headlines in 2014 when they ran into each other and shared a sweet moment on the red carpet at Vanity Fair's post-Oscars party.

Bloom and Kerr are currently "cool with each other" and in addition, "Orlando knows that Evan treats Flynn well so that's all that matters to him," the first source said. An insider had told E! News earlier this month Spiegel "gets along with Flynn really well."

The second source said Spiegel is "very much part of Flynn's life" and that the boy "loves" him. Spiegel and Kerr did not have a sit-down with the child to explain their engagement because he "is too small to understand," the source added.

Meanwhile, Flynn may gain more than one stepparent in the future; Bloom "also plans to get married and have more kids one day," the first source told E! News.

The actor began dating Katy Perry several months ago and has also introduced her to Flynn. They have kept mum about their relationship, although the singer did make it "Instagram official" in May.

An insider close to Kerr told E! News in May the supermodel is "happy" for her ex over his romance with Perry, adding that Flynn "is what she cares about" and that the boy "seems very happy every time he comes back" from his dad's place.
