Marvel head Jeph Loeb made the big announcement during Luke Cage's Comic-Con panel on Thursday

Hell's Kitchen, you're still safe.

Daredevil has officially been renewed for a third season by Netflix, Marvel's head of TV Jeph Loeb announced unexpectedly during Luke Cage's Comic-Con panel on Thursday. 

Soon after the news was announced live on stage, the show' official Twitter account also posted about the good news. "Next stop: Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil Season 3 is coming soon," they captioned a photo of a subway station. 

Season three of Daredevil, which stars Charlie Cox as the titular character, is expected to premiere in 2017.

The Punisher Gets a Spinoff Series From Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix

In season two of the gritty superhero drama, which premiered in March on the streaming giant, the Punisher made his debut as the big bad, and made such an impression that Jon Bernthal's character landed his own spinoff series at Netflix. 

"We want to thank the fans who are clamoring for more of Jon's stunning and powerful performance as Frank Castle from Marvel's Daredevil," Loeb said in a statement. "Now combined with showrunner Steve Lightfoot's compelling writing, we're thrilled to bring Marvel's The Punisher to Netflix."

Also coming to Netflix soon are Marvel's Iron Fist and The Defenders, the highly anticipated team-up series, which will debut in 2017 and tie all of Netflix's Marvel series together.
