Nickelodeon Reveals New Hey Arnold! Character Designs for The Jungle Movie

The football head returns in 2017

Nickelodeon revealed the new character designs for their Hey Arnold! sequel flick and rest easy, he's still a football head. Unlike other revivals, Nickelodeon is sticking pretty much to the basics with the new Hey Arnold!, there are just some jackets and hoodies involved now.

The designed were revealed at Nickelodeon's Comic-Con 2016 panel, "Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!: 25 Years of Nickelodeon Original Animation," which celebrated, you guessed it: NickToons.

Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie picks up where the original series ended in 2004. There were some unanswered questions regarding the whereabouts of Arnold's missing parents. The movie is written by and executive produced by creator Craig Bartlett with Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank producing.

Some of the original voice actors will be returning with Francesca Marie Smith as Helga, Anndi McAfee as Phoebe, Dan Castellaneta as Grandpa and Tress MacNeille as Grandma among those reprising roles. Mason Vale Cotton will take on the role of Arnold and Benjamin "L'il P-Nut" Flores Jr. is the new Gerald. Lane Toran, the previous voice of Arnold, and Jamil Smith, the old Gerald, will play voice new roles.

The movie is due out in 2017.
