E!All EJ Johnson wants for his birthday is a turn up in the Hamptons!
The gang jets out of the city for one last hurrah on Wednesday's season finale of EJNYC—and they're going out in grand style. Because, obviously.
EJ rents a marvelous house for the occasion and makes plans to whisk his squad away for the glamorous weekend jaunt. But getting older isn't EJ's only cause for celebration: He's also making big moves in his fashion career!
Without further ado, let's recap all of his fierce and fabulous moments from tonight's episode!
1. Private Class: When EJ invites all his friends out to the Hamptons for his party, he tells them he has secured a private plane for everyone to arrive in luxury. Because, of course. "We're not taking the jitney?!" Rachel Tabb asks, surprised.
"You're free to take the jitney if you want to," EJ replies. "But I got a plane for myself." He then tells the group that he also invited Sanaz Panahi despite her meltdown and early departure in St. Martin. However, he makes it clear he won't tolerate any tantrums this time around. "That jet will stay on the tarmac in case anybody decides to cut up," he warns.
2. Sugar, Sugar: Even though his interview with Cosmopolitan didn't pan out the way he wanted, EJ is still determined. "I realized this industry is very touch and go. You never know what kind of person you're going to be faced with, and you never know what kind of obstacles you're going to have to overcome," he says. "But I'm very much prepared to work that much harder to make my name in this industry."
He meets with PopSugar's editorial director in the hopes of becoming a fashion contributor for the website. She challenges him to create his first video piece as a test run. "It's very exciting to have this great opportunity to interview designers for PopSugar," he says. "This is certainly my first step toward making my debut in the fashion industry."
3. Go for the Gold: In anticipation of his birthday, EJ hits up Mr. Flawless jewelry store with Kyle Bryan to pick out some bling to wear to the soiree. "I'm doing the most for my birthday, and I just need something that sparkles," he says upon arrival.
First, he tries on a thick, gold chain that complements his "heavy '90s, ratchet" motif. But once he tries on some chunky rings, he struggles with where to draw the line. "I don't want to have a Mr. T moment," EJ says. "I want to keep it Linda Evangelista and not step over into Mr. T. I don't want to pity the fool." LOL!
4. Taking the Challenge: For his first assignment with PopSugar, EJ interviews fashion designer Anthony Thomas Melillo about his line, ATM. "This is something I've never really done before, so I'm nervous and stressed." But in the end, EJ has nothing to worry about because he absolutely kills it!
His success even inspires him for future endeavors. "I would love to jet set all around and take all the fashion weeks if I really could," he adds. "I would love to go from London to Paris to Milan and just do them all. I think that would be amazing."
5. Twerk It: OK, so we also just had to throw in one of Elisa Johnson's fabulous moments because we love her. When Kyle enlists her to be one of the models in the video shoot he orchestrated for LaQuan Smith's fashion line, she ends up twerking for the camera...in heels...on a tennis court...in a bejeweled, designer "diaper." Enough said!
6. It's Handled: While everyone is enjoying a delicious brunch for his birthday, EJ makes a big announcement—he landed a position as one of PopSugar's fashion correspondents! "I think it's going to be really exciting, and I'm going to take the challenge full on, and I'ma handle it!"
7. Make a Wish: After EJ spreads the good news, Elisa surprises her brother with a custom-made Chanel cake—while he's also wearing Chanel!
