Paging all Grey's Anatomy fans: Dr. George O'Malley is back! Well, sort of. T.R. Knight, who played the beloved Seattle Grace doctor from 2005 to 2009, is heading back to Shondaland in 2017.

The actor has landed a mystery recurring role on season two of The Catch. While there are no details about his new character quite yet, executive producer Allan Heinberg revealed in a statement announcing the news that the role was "created and written especially for him."

"This has been a thrilling secret to keep," The Catch executive producer Shonda Rhimes said. "One of my favorite family members is home!"

Can't you just picture the group hug that happened when Rhimes, Heinberg, Shondaland executive producer Betsy Beers and Knight finally reunited after so long? (And The Fray playing while it happened? No? Just us? It's fine we'll be over here crying all the happy tears.)

Said Knight, "Working with Shonda, Betsy and Allan again fills me with immense joy. I am heartened to be returning to Shondaland and excited to work with this exceptional cast!"

Aside from a recurring gig on The Good Wife in 2013, Knight hasn't really returned to television since his Grey's exit. He appeared in the Hulu miniseries 11.22.63 earlier this year and will appear in ABC's yet-to-be-scheduled gay rights miniseries When We Rise.

The Catch, which stars Mireille Enos as a private investigator who exposes fraud for a living and Peter Krase as the con man with whom she falls in love, will return to ABC at midseason.
